Georgia Goodrick and Albie EspinolaMy new painting is of Georgia Goodrick and me. The painting was inspired from when we were in Thailand together. It was a time when there wasn’t a care in the world, just pure happiness and love. All I cared about was what fun things I can do with Georgia and what kind of curry I wanted to eat.
Two weeks ago when I posted the Manny Pacquiao time-lapse painting on Youtube, I didn’t think much of it. The most views for a painting (the Eniko Mihalik one) I posted on Youtube was a measly 2,000 and that was over a year old!
Present day, 2 weeks after I published the Pacquiao painting and I have got 8,000+ views! The Pacman having a fight recently had something to do with it. Also, the production of the fashion painting videos was admittedly weak as I did them in photographs. The finished products are cool though (unashamedly admit too).
I always had my video camera but once I literally almost blew up my desktop when I tried putting in the firewire into my computer. Huge sparks were flying everywhere whenever I put the damn wire in.
Not only 8000+ hits but with the views my work got featured in "the bible of boxing": Ring Magazine online! Unless you're a famous boxer, rising star or promoter like Don King, chances are you will never grace the site or magazine. I've been doing these paintings for all of 2 weeks and I’m featured already. Fashion artist doing boxing? Hell yeah! I read the website religiously and I am so honoured to have been in it.
Not just The Ring, Sporting News, Queensbury Rules and even a Russian website posted my video on their sites. Google my name and see for yourself…good times!
xx
