Mr & Mrs Mak Painting & Thomas Sabo

For the last 2 years, Kush Mak has wanted me to do a portrait of him. The good friend that I am, whenever he asked my response would always be “soon soon”. So it was to my surprise that when I did have time to do one, he wanted it not of him, but his parents.

Mr & Mrs Mak. Painting by Albie Espinola

That’s Kush. He’ll have you think he’s gangster and vain but deep down; he’s a family guy with a good heart. One of the safest guys I know, it was a pleasure doing the painting finally.

Last week I attended the Thomas Sabo jewellery party in a Church in Mayfair. Weird choice of venue but it worked! They completely transformed it into an un-holy place putting a HUGE bar smack in the middle with tons of free champagne and cocktails flowing. The food was delicious too. It was just all non-stop with beef, fish and even lobster coming out.

I couldn’t help but do some things I wouldn’t normally do in a church. Things like shout really loud, fox whistle, standing on a church bench and of course swearing saying, “fucking hell” or “holy shit”. Oh, I’m so mature I know.

The stars were out to support Thomas Sabo’s new collection. Performing was Beth Ditto, DJ’ing was Jesus (Madonna’s boyfriend) and also the very talented daughter of Sting, Coco Summer performed a few songs.

Katy Lubin (middle) and her team

Huge thumbs up to Katy Lubin and everyone who put the party together. It was amaze!

Okay, so I got uninvited for the opening night to Georgia’s play, Elephant 21. Raw but I guess it was nerves so I’m giving her a few days to get comfortable and will be attending the show on Saturday 17th July. So come with! Lemme know if you’re interested and we can all go together.
