Michael Buffer Painting

I was inspired by my friend Ashley Theophane’s win vs Delvin Rodriguez a few weeks ago. His fight was the main event on ESPN in America.

Chatting on Facebook, he said he wasn’t getting respect from the commentary team. Some admittedly understandable considering Teddy Atlas was Mike Tyson’s former trainer so he knows what he’s talking about (well mostly). But hey, at least he won and was getting talked about. Most boxers never reach that level.

He spoke about the next steps of being on Showtime then HBO which are the biggest television networks in America to fight on.

Being on a HBO or Showtime show is not even about the money, it’s about the prestige. To have the great Michael Buffer saying his trademark, “Let’s get ready to rumble!” then announcing your name to a cheering (or jeering) crowd.

That’s when you hit the big time. That’s Ash’s dream and as a friend and fan, I hope he gets there.

This is the painting of the legend that is Michael Buffer. He is part of most of the greatest fights the last few decades has seen.
